After a rather tough play, US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs's Hjalmar Pååk got a free kick in the 16th minute. Joachim Högman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Hellsing, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Freddie Bergren hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Grönlands SK's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Giroud came free, but Olov Zachrisson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The US Gᴀʀvᴇттɪs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Högman should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hardas Dunđer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joachim Högman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Johnsson in the 53rd minute of the match. Per-Arne Björkqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
