In the 3rd minute, Emil Billing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, Örjan Levander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rolf Blom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Levander got free with Rolf Blom in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stennäs FF's Olov Strand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Bambas in the 11th minute of play. Strömsbro IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mao Jun Yun in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Wasyl Zworski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stennäs FF's Olov Strand did a great save. Olov Strand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Bambas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Bambas in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Bambas in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Strand saved Stennäs FF from getting behind. If Igor Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Igor Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olov Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Bambas in the 35th minute of play. Olov Strand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Bambas's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Rolf Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Björklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Håkan Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Bambas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olov Strand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Bambas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Åke Pålsson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Igor Bambas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stennäs FF's Olov Strand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolf Blom made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Örjan Levander sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wasyl Zworski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Wasyl Zworski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Strand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Igor Bambas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olov Strand. That made the score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. Henning Lingren made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Örjan Levander. In the 61st match minute, Strömsbro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Ani to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Stennäs FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Knut Igelström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Strömsbro IF made a substitution. Stig-Arne Bollström replaced Wasyl Zworski. Strömsbro IF's Gunnar Nyqvist was substituted for Knut Igelström. After 70 minutes, Henry Bergström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stennäs FF and the Strömsbro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Stennäs FF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Henry Bergström hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Mao Jun Yun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Stennäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Westerberg to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Lingren came free, but Rolf Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolf Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Rudberg in the 80th minute of play. Stennäs FF were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Strömsbro IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kent Westerberg took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Lingren in the 83rd minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rolf Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Levander came free, but Rolf Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Bollström in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stennäs FF's Åke Ahlquist got a free kick in the 91st minute. Stennäs FF made a substitution. Stefan Nordgren replaced Andréas Rudberg. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Stennäs FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Ahlquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
