Kurt Brogren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aron Dahlbom having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Brogren came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mellbystrand IK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gorka Vialpando hit a great ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Daniel Alrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Brogren came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mellbystrand IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joseph Myr in the 30th minute. The corner led Mellbystrand IK's Joseph Myr to fire away a dangerous shot which Aron Dahlbom despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Nordin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Kurt Brogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Mellbystrand IK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aron Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Brogren in the 54th minute of the match. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. Aron Dahlbom was a little too slow when Kurt Brogren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-4. Kurt Brogren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Aron Dahlbom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Alrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Sampras, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Kurt Brogren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aron Dahlbom was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. During the 92nd minute of the match Patrik Zachrisson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Patrik Zachrisson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 93 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Zachrisson. 96 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leif Ahlbeck. When the final whistle sounded Mellbystrand IK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MAFFIAN.
