With an all-out effort, Gröngölingarnas IF's Natasha Sjøholm threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Fernando Leal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olívio Sjøholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natasha Sjøholm made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Alf Ahlkvist sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Gröngölingarnas IF's Alf Ahlkvist got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alf Ahlkvist did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Natasha Sjøholm 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochem Klooster in the 27th minute of play forced Gröngölingarnas IF's goalkeeper Jimmy Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Gröngölingarnas IF got a corner. Griskultingarnas FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesper Hägert ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alf Ahlkvist sped through Griskultingarnas FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Natasha Sjøholm. The supporters of Gröngölingarnas IF booed when Griskultingarnas FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochem Klooster didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Jimmy Busk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmy Lilja was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf Ahlkvist was the one to do the kick off. Olívio Sjøholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmy Lilja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olívio Sjøholm ran back to his position shaking his head. Natasha Sjøholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Erik Odin in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Griskultingarnas FF getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Arne Lång hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Griskultingarnas FF's Rune Vestberg got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jesper Hägert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natasha Sjøholm. Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jimmy Lilja was a little too slow when Jonatan Smedfeldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 2-2. The Gröngölingarnas IF fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Gröngölingarnas IF's Alf Ahlkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rune Vestberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Lilja having to interfere. Jonatan Smedfeldt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jimmy Lilja came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonatan Smedfeldt slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
