Jimmy Lilja stood somewhat misplaced when Jordi Leal came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Ahlkvist in the 9th minute of play forced SpringPojkarnas BK's goalkeeper Jim Lindberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Matīss Amatnieks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Lilja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alens Biedriņš went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, SpringPojkarnas BK's Stig-Arne Åman got a free kick in the 26th minute. The Gröngölingarnas IF fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Gröngölingarnas IF's Alf Ahlkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes Gröngölingarnas IF got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Odin. Alf Ahlkvist took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jim Lindberg. Jim Lindberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind SpringPojkarnas BK's goalkeeper Jim Lindberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Jordi Leal made the kick off in the second half. Jimmy Lilja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordi Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. SpringPojkarnas BK's Stig-Arne Åman got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Stig-Arne Åman off the ground. After 54th play minutes Alens Biedriņš shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Jimmy Lilja and just under the crossbar into goal. SpringPojkarnas BK's Jim Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Ahlkvist in the 57th minute of play. Jim Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Ahlkvist in the 62nd minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, SpringPojkarnas BK's goalkeeper Jim Lindberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Ahlkvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordi Leal in the 71st minute of play forced Gröngölingarnas IF's goalkeeper Jimmy Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alens Biedriņš blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Lilja having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alens Biedriņš in the 73rd minute of play forced Gröngölingarnas IF's goalkeeper Jimmy Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Ahlkvist in the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Gröngölingarnas IF got a corner. SpringPojkarnas BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesper Hägert ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Gröngölingarnas IF's corner Jesper Hägert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jim Lindberg quite easily take care of the ball. Jimmy Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alens Biedriņš in the 88th minute of the match. A hard shot 93 in the game by Luiz Fernando Leal from a close distance when the talented Jim Lindberg managed to make a qualified save. SpringPojkarnas BK's players were relieved. Gustav Levander hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Gröngölingarnas IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
