The audience was convinced that Clas Nørstrup's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfred Fribäck was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Manfred Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qi Yang Guang in the 19th minute of play. Manfred Fribäck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qi Yang Guang's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Clas Nørstrup who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Söderhall's corner Qi Yang Guang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manfred Fribäck quite easily take care of the ball. Clas Nørstrup scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfred Fribäck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manfred Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qi Yang Guang in the 32nd minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Clas Nørstrup came free, but Manfred Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zygmunt Wrzosek might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manfred Fribäck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zygmunt Wrzosek ran back to his position shaking his head. Svante Stenqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Ljusberg's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clas Nørstrup made a kick off. If Tage Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Arvin Låsberg replaced Qian Zhen Sheng. Söderhall's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Segundo Ixona in the 65th minute. The corner led Söderhall's Qi Yang Guang to fire away a dangerous shot which Manfred Fribäck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 67th minute, Zygmunt Wrzosek made a precise shot to the right of Manfred Fribäck. Norrlands Athen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Söderhall made a substitution. Sven-Åke Alebeck replaced Clas Nørstrup. Segundo Ixona hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Svante Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Källberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck got control of the ball when Sven-Åke Alebeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goal looked a bit too open when John Källberg came free, but Svante Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute John Källberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svante Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Gilbert Darwis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norrlands Athen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Söderhall the free kick. The Söderhall players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
