An unexpectedly hard shot by Clas Nørstrup in the 9th minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cris Montoia hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clas Nørstrup in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zair Hasa in the 13th minute of play forced Söderhall's goalkeeper Svante Stenqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Zygmunt Wrzosek put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pål Sefastsson. In the 34th minute of the match Söderhall got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Segundo Ixona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Svante Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Viggo Rang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Stenqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Viggo Rang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Svante Stenqvist made a huge save. Söderhall's Svante Stenqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Söderhall from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goalkeeper Svante Stenqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şahap Özgu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clas Nørstrup to make the kick off. With a little luck, National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson got control of the ball when Zygmunt Wrzosek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute Fredric Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svante Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. National Team Cape-Verde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After 64 minutes, Clas Nørstrup made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Söderhall's Michael Nordgren was substituted for Clas Nørstrup. When Zachary Pliszka came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the National Team Cape-Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zachary Pliszka couldn't finish the play. Söderhall were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after National Team Cape-Verde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Segundo Ixona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Söderhall's corner Magnus Winström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pål Sefastsson quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Nordgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pål Sefastsson could save by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Nordgren. After 82 minutes National Team Cape-Verde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Segundo Ixona who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Febri Sarumpaet drilling the ball in to score 3-4 behind National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper. The supporters of Söderhall booed when National Team Cape-Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Broberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.
