In the 14th minute of the match Sundborn IF got a corner. Lidköping's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joachim Svensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Sundborn IF's corner Joachim Svensson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kristoffer Västerstrand quite easily take care of the ball. Kalle Askberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Bogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Ted Holmgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundborn IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ted Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kristoffer Västerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Bogren to make the kick off. Per-Åke Myr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Kalle Askberg made a huge save. Kalle Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Mårtensson in the 61st minute of play. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Kjell Holmberg replaced Jan Håning. Sundborn IF's Sven-Olof Stephansson was substituted for Henning Bennet. Erland Kvist hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Adam Mårtensson took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Kalle Askberg to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Simon Wallin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristoffer Västerstrand was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Sundborn IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
