Gilbert Czajkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walery Penkalski having to interfere. XTEAM Zabrze's Walery Penkalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zenon Iwaszko in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Dariusz Zbikowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XTEAM Zabrze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rdziostów the free kick. The supporters of Rdziostów booed when XTEAM Zabrze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Zbikowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to XTEAM Zabrze getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tolek Molski hit a great ball. In the 17th minute of the match Kryspin Zembrzuski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walery Penkalski skillfully saved the ball. Gilbert Czajkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walery Penkalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Walery Penkalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Iwaszko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Jaks's late challenge caught a Rdziostów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Borys Jaks helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, XTEAM Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Jaks to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Gilbert Czajkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rdziostów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Czajkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute Zenon Iwaszko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Penkalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gilbert Czajkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rdziostów's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Czajkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walery Penkalski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walery Penkalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Iwaszko in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Zenon Iwaszko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XTEAM Zabrze's Walery Penkalski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilbert Czajkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zenon Iwaszko made a kick off. Gilbert Czajkowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Walery Penkalski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 56 minutes into the match, XTEAM Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Iwaszko came free, but Walery Penkalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, XTEAM Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walery Adamus to maneuver through the defense. Zenon Iwaszko kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenon Iwaszko got free with Walery Penkalski in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in XTEAM Zabrze's zone, Zenon Iwaszko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walery Penkalski came out of the goal and Zenon Iwaszko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. XTEAM Zabrze's Walery Penkalski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save XTEAM Zabrze from getting a goal against them. Zenon Iwaszko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wit Ciszewski fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XTEAM Zabrze's protests and gave Wit Ciszewski a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the game, one of XTEAM Zabrze:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Rdziostów's Zenon Iwaszko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walery Penkalski. That made the score 0-2 after 82 minutes of play. Roman Leper charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Leper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roman Leper hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Zenon Iwaszko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walery Penkalski having to interfere. Walery Penkalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenon Iwaszko, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. A collision led to XTEAM Zabrze getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Boruc Gondek hit a great ball. Zenon Iwaszko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The XTEAM Zabrze fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rdziostów were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
