In the 4th minute, Tomasz Kon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in LKS Głębokie's zone, Tadeusz Matuch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Fleszar came out of the goal and Tadeusz Matuch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zachariasz Gieraltowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Napoleon Fleszar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Tadeusz Matuch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Napoleon Fleszar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's Zachariasz Gieraltowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Napoleon Fleszar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Kazimierz Kapelski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LKS Głębokie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tadeusz Matuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Fleszar having to interfere. Zachariasz Gieraltowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes LKS Głębokie got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Kendra. Górnik Zabrze's Zachariasz Gieraltowski got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Lech Walkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Górnik Zabrze and the LKS Głębokie players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Górnik Zabrze's Lech Walkowski got a free kick in the 34th minute. Kazimierz Kapelski struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tymoteusz Drugi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LKS Głębokie. Zachariasz Gieraltowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Tadeusz Matuch sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LKS Głębokie's Napoleon Fleszar didn't even have to move. Norbert Bronkala's late challenge caught a Górnik Zabrze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norbert Bronkala helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Norbert Bronkala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Napoleon Fleszar made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tadeusz Matuch sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Gieraltowski in the 61st minute of play forced LKS Głębokie's goalkeeper Napoleon Fleszar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Bronkala got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 63 played minutes LKS Głębokie got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Bronkala. Zachariasz Gieraltowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Fleszar having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Radowit Grabski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LKS Głębokie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Górnik Zabrze the free kick. Napoleon Fleszar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zdzislaw Zdrojowy. With a little luck, LKS Głębokie's Napoleon Fleszar got control of the ball when Tadeusz Matuch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zachariasz Gieraltowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Fleszar having to interfere. Tadeusz Matuch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zachariasz Gieraltowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zachariasz Gieraltowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tomasz Kon got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Górnik Zabrze getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Tomasz Kon hit a great ball. Lucjan Adamowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Napoleon Fleszar made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Tadeusz Matuch sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes Górnik Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Zachariasz Gieraltowski. Kazimierz Kapelski kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Tytus Boruta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Napoleon Fleszar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Zachariasz Gieraltowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Górnik Zabrze played a much better game than LKS Głębokie and deserved their victory. The LKS Głębokie players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
