When Szczepan Majewski fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walne's protests and gave Szczepan Majewski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Ruhbank SSA's Marcin Zacharczyk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Grzegorz Domalik. Grzegorz Domalik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 24 played minutes Walne got a freekick which was hit by Maciej Golota. Waldemar Mnich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Bochinski in the 27th minute of the match. Walne's Grzegorz Domalik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Walne from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Szczepan Majewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Walne's zone, Marcin Zacharczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grzegorz Domalik came out of the goal and Marcin Zacharczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Tadeusz Bochinski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ruhbank SSA's Waldemar Mnich. Waldemar Mnich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waldemar Mnich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Bochinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Walne's Olgierd Rywin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Bochinski couldn't finish the play.
