Witalis Kasprzak struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Rafal Mockiewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fjorentina. In the 8th minute Witold Szarmach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Marek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcin Golob kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Witold Szarmach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Marek having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Witold Szarmach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orzeł Kraków's supporters rose to their feet, but Witold Szarmach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulryk Marek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulryk Marek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Trynda in the 13th minute of play. Radomil Komanski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Rafal Mockiewicz made a huge save. 22 minutes into the game, Radomil Komanski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rafal Mockiewicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute Witold Szarmach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Marek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Witalis Kasprzak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Wieslaw Brudzisz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Witold Szarmach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dariusz Trynda made the kick off in the second half. Radomil Komanski's late challenge caught a Orzeł Kraków's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radomil Komanski helped the player get up and apologised. Radomil Komanski kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Witold Szarmach fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulryk Marek, passed just outside the right post. If Witold Szarmach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Witold Szarmach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orzeł Kraków fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Fjorentina booed when Orzeł Kraków was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Ramzinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fjorentina's zone, Dariusz Trynda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulryk Marek came out of the goal and Dariusz Trynda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Dariusz Trynda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Marek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Komanski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fjorentina's Ulryk Marek got control of the ball when Witold Szarmach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Witalis Kasprzak struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Fjorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Trynda came free, but Ulryk Marek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulryk Marek came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Orzeł Kraków's Dariusz Trynda. But to his dismay, Dariusz Trynda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Rafal Mockiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Komanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Orzeł Kraków's Dariusz Trynda in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fjorentina's goalie prevented a goal. Dariusz Trynda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulryk Marek having to make a save. The Fjorentina fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Orzeł Kraków were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
