An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Pincoski in the 4th minute of play forced Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Lucjan Koczara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugeniusz Degutis's late challenge caught a Ruch Chorzów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugeniusz Degutis helped the player get up and apologised. QW Gruchy's Olgierd Pincoski got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Beniamin Kasprzak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Napoleon Tyskie's late challenge caught a Ruch Chorzów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Napoleon Tyskie helped the player get up and apologised. Napoleon Tyskie hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Beniamin Kasprzak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucjan Koczara made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Lucjan Ewertowski sent off a good shot on target. Marcin Plaski charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcin Plaski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Marcin Plaski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olgierd Pincoski in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucjan Koczara saved Ruch Chorzów from getting behind. When Lucjan Ewertowski came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the QW Gruchy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucjan Ewertowski couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Olgierd Pincoski made the kick off in the second half. If Bartosz Gecionis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucjan Koczara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Ewertowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olgierd Pincoski struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Lucjan Koczara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QW Gruchy. After a defensive mix-up in Ruch Chorzów's zone, Olgierd Pincoski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Koczara came out of the goal and Olgierd Pincoski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucjan Koczara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Pincoski in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Olgierd Pincoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Koczara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Koczara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Pincoski in the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iwo Biegun during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ruch Chorzów getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Iwo Biegun hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, QW Gruchy's Lucjan Ewertowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucjan Koczara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lucjan Ewertowski scored 2-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucjan Koczara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Lucjan Ewertowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. QW Gruchy's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Ewertowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucjan Koczara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Michnik in the 87th minute of play forced Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Lucjan Koczara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Olgierd Pincoski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. QW Gruchy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olgierd Pincoski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, QW Gruchy's Radoslaw Karwowski got a free kick in the 92nd minute. QW Gruchy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
