When Lech Kolbert came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cieklinsko fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lech Kolbert couldn't finish the play. Zagorze Sosnowiec's Ludomil Madajczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Bugajski in the 43rd minute of play. Korneliusz Bugajski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomil Madajczyk having to interfere.

Pankracy Awizo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jerzy Fudalej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cieklinsko's Korneliusz Bugajski got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Lech Kolbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cieklinsko and the Zagorze Sosnowiec players grew even worse after the yellow card.
