Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Szczepan Czempa started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Karwia's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Giejda came free, but Boguslaw Czeberowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mieszko Chrzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szczepan Czempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boguslaw Czeberowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Seliga in the 7th minute of the match. Boguslaw Czeberowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Giejda's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. If Szczepan Czempa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Borowski in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mieszko Chrzan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 23 minutes, Janusz Seliga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Seliga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 played minutes Karwia got a freekick which was hit by Michal Misiewicz. Julian Giejda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Boguslaw Czeberowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Giejda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boguslaw Czeberowski having to interfere. A collision led to Karwia getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Michal Misiewicz hit a great ball. If Julian Giejda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Giejda in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boguslaw Czeberowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of GKS booed when Karwia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Czerwinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, GKS's Dobromir Filanowski tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karwia! Dobromir Filanowski walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The GKS fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when GKS's Dobromir Filanowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aleksander Solak's late challenge caught a Karwia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksander Solak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GKS's Aleksander Solak got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of GKS booed when Karwia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Gacki didn't get a good kick on the ball.
Mieszko Chrzan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Borowski in the 51st minute of play. Janusz Seliga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Borowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mieszko Chrzan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, GKS's goal looked a bit too open when Szczepan Czempa came free, but Mieszko Chrzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, GKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Kaczanek to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szczepan Czempa in the 62nd minute of play forced GKS's goalkeeper Mieszko Chrzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GKS's Dobromir Filanowski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Karwia. Boguslaw Czeberowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Giejda in the 69th minute of the match. Janusz Seliga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mieszko Chrzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Borowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 80th of the match, Julian Giejda tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Boguslaw Czeberowski got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Janusz Seliga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Karwia's Stanislaw Karanewski got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Janusz Seliga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Boguslaw Czeberowski made a huge save. GKS's Julian Giejda got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julian Giejda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Karwia's zone, Julian Giejda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boguslaw Czeberowski came out of the goal and Julian Giejda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GKS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
