With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Brzonkala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the game, Marian Chrobak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bogdan Brzonkala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marian Chrobak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Brzonkala having to interfere. If Rafal Witwicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Chrobak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Pogoń Szczecin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lechuty:s goal. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Lechuty. Marian Chrobak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Brzonkala having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Piotr Walentowicz made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lechuty booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zdzislaw Juzda didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Chrobak got free with Bogdan Brzonkala in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marian Chrobak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Bogdan Brzonkala made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Lechuty's Rafal Witwicki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Brzonkala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Witwicki came free, but Bogdan Brzonkala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Jaroslaw Wawrukiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lechuty played a much better game than Pogoń Szczecin and deserved their victory. The Pogoń Szczecin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
