Andrzej Walczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincenty Pilipiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Antoni Rutecki fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zdbowo's protests and gave Antoni Rutecki a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Naprzód Janów could leave the field as winners, despite Zdbowo having more of the ball for most of the match.
