The audience was convinced that Marek Czysty's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Osowski was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Jacek Adamowicz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Czysty in the 17th minute of play forced Sokolnik's goalkeeper Damian Osowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boguslaw Makarewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Damian Osowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Brudnicki scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedykt Sobania, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benedykt Sobania made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Julian Brudnicki sent off a good shot on target. Grzebowilk's Marek Czysty got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sokolnik booed when Grzebowilk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Hodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryszard Kowalski missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 44 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benedykt Sobania right hand side. Boguslaw Makarewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Osowski having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Czysty made a kick off. Marek Czysty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Damian Osowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marek Czysty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marek Czysty in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Osowski saved Sokolnik from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Plucinik in the 63rd minute of play forced Grzebowilk's goalkeeper Benedykt Sobania to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Osowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 67th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Grzebowilk's Boguslaw Makarewicz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damian Osowski. That made the score 1-1 after 71 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sokolnik's zone, Boguslaw Makarewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Osowski came out of the goal and Boguslaw Makarewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marek Czysty struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Damian Osowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grzebowilk. Marek Czysty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dobromir Hodas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Ryszard Kowalski hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Damian Osowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 86th minute. Damian Osowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Czysty, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Boguslaw Makarewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Damian Osowski made a huge save. Walery Czermak's late challenge caught a Sokolnik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walery Czermak helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Grzebowilk got a freekick which was hit by Walery Czermak.
