SnK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave B. Dortmund the free kick. A collision led to SnK FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Zula Grucza hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SnK FC's zone, Zbyszek Obuchowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wasyl Jekot came out of the goal and Zbyszek Obuchowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, B. Dortmund's Tytus Czeszejko got a free kick in the 8th minute. Stefan Ruszczyk came free in the 9th minute and tried to tip the ball over Milosz Trela, but to the joy of B. Dortmund's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Alfred Anszczak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Wasyl Jekot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute Zbyszek Obuchowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Jekot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. B. Dortmund's Milosz Trela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Grucza in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in B. Dortmund's zone, Zula Grucza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milosz Trela came out of the goal and Zula Grucza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes of play, B. Dortmund's Alfred Anszczak made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wasyl Jekot was left in no man's land by his defense there! B. Dortmund's Milosz Trela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Grucza in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslaw Merski got free with Wasyl Jekot in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the game, one of SnK FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbyszek Obuchowicz in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wasyl Jekot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cezary Falk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Milosz Trela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milosz Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Sadlowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Zbyszek Obuchowicz struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Wasyl Jekot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for B. Dortmund. Zbyszek Obuchowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SnK FC booed when B. Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Anszczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbyszek Obuchowicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wasyl Jekot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zula Grucza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Milosz Trela. That made the score 2-1 in the 68 minute of play. B. Dortmund's Milosz Trela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save B. Dortmund from getting a goal against them. After having played for 77 minutes, Alfred Anszczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. B. Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Anszczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zbyszek Obuchowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87thth minute of the game Zbyszek Obuchowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SnK FC's Wasyl Jekot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zula Grucza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Milosz Trela made a huge save. 92 minutes into the match, B. Dortmund's goalkeeper Milosz Trela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zula Grucza. After having played for 98 minutes, Alfred Anszczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. B. Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Anszczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. B. Dortmund's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
