A beautiful save bye Carrigtwohill's goalie prevented a goal. Bernard Jajko's late challenge caught a Carrigtwohill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Jajko helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Drutarnia got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Jajko. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Mojsiewicz got free with Mariusz Zawaski in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Drutarnia's goalie and right to Antoni Pionek. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Drutarnia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Witomir Tomaszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoni Pionek in the 24th minute of play forced Drutarnia's goalkeeper Mariusz Zawaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carrigtwohill's Damazy Andrychowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Jaktorowo in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Feliks Wielopolski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drutarnia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliks Wielopolski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damazy Andrychowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Tomaszewski in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Carrigtwohill's goal looked a bit too open when Feliks Wielopolski came free, but Damazy Andrychowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariusz Zawaski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Zabrzeski, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Drutarnia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Wiktor Jaktorowo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Drutarnia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiktor Jaktorowo couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Tolek Joks put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Carrigtwohill's Tymoteusz Barys got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded Drutarnia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carrigtwohill.
