Spectators: 7613 (Terracing: 5710, Seating: 1751, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Miroslaw Czerny made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes in the game, Miroslaw Czerny fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Boruc Modrzewski having to interfere. Miroslaw Czernys short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Boruc Modrzewski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in ManU Zabrze's zone, Miroslaw Czerny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boruc Modrzewski came out of the goal and Miroslaw Czerny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mladen Ruzhinov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dariusz Kloczko went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the ManU Zabrze defense, Miroslaw Czerny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boruc Modrzewski. The ManU Zabrze fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boruc Modrzewski should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dobromir Tylenda managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Opo Ardo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dobromir Tylenda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boruc Modrzewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslaw Czerny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 35 in the game by Miroslaw Czerny from a close distance when the talented Boruc Modrzewski managed to make a qualified save. ManU Zabrze's players were relieved. When Konrad Maciejewski came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the El Opo Ardo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Maciejewski couldn't finish the play. After 43 played minutes ManU Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Tolek Kornasiewicz. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cyryl Gibowski to make the kick off. The supporters of ManU Zabrze booed when El Opo Ardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Kajfasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aleksander Rakowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Mladen Ruzhinov made a huge save. El Opo Ardo's Dobromir Tylenda got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, El Opo Ardo's Leszek Buda got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The long shot by Damian Juszkowski in the 64th minute really tested Mladen Ruzhinov's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslaw Czerny in the 66th minute of play forced ManU Zabrze's goalkeeper Boruc Modrzewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Bogdan Moryl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mladen Ruzhinov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The El Opo Ardo fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when El Opo Ardo's Miroslaw Czerny looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. El Opo Ardo made a substitution. Rudi Haan replaced Miroslaw Czerny. When El Opo Ardo's Rudi Haan in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ManU Zabrze's goalie prevented a goal. Mladen Ruzhinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Rakowicz in the 85th minute of play. ManU Zabrze's Bogdan Moryl shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mladen Ruzhinov but with some difficulty. Tolek Kornasiewicz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mladen Ruzhinov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ManU Zabrze. El Opo Ardo's Mladen Ruzhinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Gibowski in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Rudi Haan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boruc Modrzewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
