An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Franciszek Filipkowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Mieszko Buda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warschau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mieszko Buda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karol Czerny struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Grzegorz Paprotny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warschau. Karol Czerny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Paprotny having to interfere. When Warschau's Mieszko Buda in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Korytyna's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Mieszko Buda might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grzegorz Paprotny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mieszko Buda ran back to his position shaking his head. If Karol Czerny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grzegorz Paprotny made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Mieszko Buda sent off a good shot on target. Jakub Swoboda hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With his leg Grzegorz Paprotny managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Warschau's Mieszko Buda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Karol Czerny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
