Cyryl Chodzinski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ksawery Buda went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Grucza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stomil Olsztyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giesen the free kick. The supporters of Giesen booed when Stomil Olsztyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliusz Grucza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanek Praski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Tarka in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Pilitowski in the 18th minute of play forced Giesen's goalkeeper Cyryl Chodzinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Stomil Olsztyn got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Kazanowski. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zenon Traczewski in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanek Praski saved Stomil Olsztyn from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Giesen's goalkeeper Cyryl Chodzinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ksawery Buda. 35 minutes into the match, Stomil Olsztyn's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Traczewski came free, but Tanek Praski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Gilbert Kazanowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ksawery Buda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zenon Traczewski to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Wincenty Chazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the game, Stomil Olsztyn's Ksawery Buda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cyryl Chodzinski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 61st minute Ryszard Klejnowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Praski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Giesen's Wit Tarka got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the game, Wit Tarka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Stomil Olsztyn's Ksawery Buda in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Giesen's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stomil Olsztyn had won after a very even match.
