In the 4thth minute of the game Teobald Misiewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobald Misiewicz in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikolaj Jerzyk saved Newcastle United from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United's Olgierd Wojtowicz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmund Makomaski. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Pacholewski in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmund Makomaski saved Barça from getting behind. Edmund Makomaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Christobal in the 12th minute of play. Mikolaj Jerzyk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobald Misiewicz's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 17th minute of play forced Barça's goalkeeper Edmund Makomaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barça's Edmund Makomaski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 18th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Barça:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Newcastle United:s goal. Edmund Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pankracy Malicki in the 27th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Newcastle United's Edmund Makomaski threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pankracy Malicki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Newcastle United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barça had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
