The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Pacholewski got free with Edmund Makomaski in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Grigoris Charalambidis fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barça's protests and gave Grigoris Charalambidis a yellow card for diving instead. Przygorzele made a substitution. Edmund Makomaski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Pacholewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Barça defense, Iwo Deput kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmund Makomaski. The Barça fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmund Makomaski should have stopped the shot. Barça's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
