Borussia Dortmund's Ryszard Rudy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Mabud Levy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of Orzeł Dąbie:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tanek Kostrzewski kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Szczepan Wnukowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Slobodan Ravelli skillfully saved the ball. Slobodan Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Pieprz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Waldemar Czajkowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ryszard Rudy, 1-0. Rafal Lampa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Pieprz in the 16th minute of play forced Orzeł Dąbie's goalkeeper Slobodan Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Orzeł Dąbie got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Kaczeniak. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Rafal Lampa hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, Borussia Dortmund's Filip Moczkiewicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Slobodan Ravelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borussia Dortmund reached it. Zenon Kaczeniaks short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Ryszard Rudy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ryszard Rudy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Kaczeniak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Kaczeniak came free, but Ryszard Rudy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Orzeł Dąbie's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Lampa came free, but Slobodan Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Orzeł Dąbie defense, Rafal Lampa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Slobodan Ravelli. The Orzeł Dąbie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Slobodan Ravelli should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Szczepan Wnukowski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenon Kaczeniak got free with Ryszard Rudy in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dobromir Bronkala kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Iwo Ptaszek might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ryszard Rudy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iwo Ptaszek ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zenon Kaczeniak was the one to do the kick off. Tanek Kostrzewski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ryszard Rudy. Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rafal Lampa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Slobodan Ravelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zenon Kaczeniak took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ryszard Rudy. Ryszard Rudy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ryszard Rudy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Oleszak in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Rafal Pieprz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Olaf Oleszak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orzeł Dąbie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Czeslaw Domaradzki hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Orzeł Dąbie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Kaczeniak to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Zenon Kaczeniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Rudy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes, Wincenty Mazurkiewicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borussia Dortmund and the Orzeł Dąbie players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Wincenty Mazurkiewicz hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Kaczeniak came free, but Ryszard Rudy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Tanek Kostrzewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Rudy was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 91 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Kaczeniak came free, but Ryszard Rudy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Orzeł Dąbie booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafal Pieprz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Bronkala kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Orzeł Dąbie's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
