After 8 minutes, Izydor Czysty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DYNAMIT KATOWICE and the Newcastle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Izydor Czysty hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Feliks Kaczor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stasio Kajfasz having to interfere. Zbyszek Karanowski hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Newcastle getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tolek Zima hit a great ball. Feliks Kaczor struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Stasio Kajfasz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newcastle. Stasio Kajfasz made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Feliks Kaczor sent off a good shot on target. Tolek Zima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Stasio Kajfasz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliks Kaczor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stasio Kajfasz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolek Zima in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stasio Kajfasz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Newcastle's Tolek Zima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stasio Kajfasz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tolek Zima made a kick off. Jaroslaw Biraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stasio Kajfasz having to interfere. Stasio Kajfasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliks Kaczor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Newcastle's Feliks Kaczor in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DYNAMIT KATOWICE's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Zima in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stasio Kajfasz saved DYNAMIT KATOWICE from getting behind. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Feliks Kaczor sped through DYNAMIT KATOWICE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stasio Kajfasz. When Newcastle's Tolek Zima in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Stasio Kajfasz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Tolek Zima made a precise shot to the right of Stasio Kajfasz. DYNAMIT KATOWICE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Newcastle's Feliks Kaczor in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
