The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doctor Cavia to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Haroldas Dzik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jurand Bycofski, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doctor Cavia got free with Jurand Bycofski in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Lechia Gdańsk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doctor Cavia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jurand Bycofski made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Cyryl Zalipski sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the game, Olgierd Klawke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lechia Gdańsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trzaski the free kick. Jurand Bycofski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldas Dzik in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Lechia Gdańsk's Jurand Bycofski got control of the ball when Doctor Cavia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Doctor Cavia took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Jurand Bycofski to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 92 minutes, Haroldas Dzik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trzaski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldas Dzik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hieronim Gacki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wawrzyniec Tscherner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jurand Bycofski was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
