In the 41st minute Hannes Velling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Dembkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletico Madr id's Damazy Dembkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Pilsudski in the 42nd minute of play. Ryszard Borkowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Waselenczuk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryszard Borkowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Damazy Dembkowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zdzislaw Pilsudski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 87 minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Ryszard Borkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Madr id's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KS BIERUN the free kick.
