When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Zbyszko Terasek sped through GKS Katowice's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Konstanty Panasewicz. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when legia warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position.
