The audience was convinced that Roman Rakoski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milosz Malewicki was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marty Hayles in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adão Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Górnik Zabrze fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Górnik Zabrze's Marty Hayles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Rakoski in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milosz Malewicki saved Górnik Zabrze from getting behind. In the 36thth minute of the game Marty Hayles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but G.K.S.'s Adão Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roman Rakoski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Milosz Malewicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of G.K.S. booed when Górnik Zabrze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Czeslaw Mazurkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ksawery Bochinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ksawery Bochinski's late challenge caught a Górnik Zabrze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ksawery Bochinski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, G.K.S. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ksawery Bochinski to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes G.K.S. got a freekick which was hit by Ksawery Bochinski. G.K.S.'s Dariusz Merski was substituted for Roman Rakoski. Adão Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Hayles in the 88th minute of the match. Ksawery Bochinski struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Milosz Malewicki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.K.S.. If Ksawery Bochinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Dariusz Merski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The G.K.S. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. There was no doubt that G.K.S. were the better team. G.K.S.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
