But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Neiva couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Phantasy World booed when LAMUSY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Mlekodaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, José Maria Neiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. In the 38th minute Paquito Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xiao Guang Han saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Phantasy World got a freekick which was hit by Bálint Kormos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Franco in the 46th minute of play forced Phantasy World's goalkeeper Xiao Guang Han to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Phantasy World were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Maria Neiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wieslaw Podowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Maria Neiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play.
