Kwaski Sandomierz's Barbaros Sargan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Cempa in the 22nd minute of play. Zacisze Częstochowa's Cristo Verdu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Jurand Cempa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barbaros Sargan. Kwaski Sandomierz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jurand Cempa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jurand Cempa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimierz Konopka got free with Miroslaw Gollob in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barbaros Sargan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Napoleon Trojanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Verdu. Miroslaw Gollob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Walkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Jurand Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Cempa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jurand Cempa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barbaros Sargan came out and tried to block the shot, but Jurand Cempa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Zacisze Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Walkowski came free, but Miroslaw Gollob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Verdu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Barbaros Sargan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
