The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zgierskie Zlewy. Jurand Winszman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Rives in the 24th minute. Karol Ruszkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Balaci in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Yazaki Mikołów's goalkeeper Jurand Winszman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Rives. In the 37th minute, Daniel Rives left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zgierskie Zlewy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Zbigniew Trela struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jurand Winszman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zgierskie Zlewy. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Lewicki in the 45th minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Karol Ruszkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Tadeusz Lewicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Ruszkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
