Julian Trzenzalski came out of the goal and Leszek Podwojski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maciej Kiepski in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute KKS Magines were awarded a corner. Waldemar Markowski went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Waldemar Markowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zenon Pleban quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Markowski in the 10th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Karol Tomiczek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, KKS Magines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Markowski to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes in the game, Karol Tomiczek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julian Trzenzalski having to interfere. Luckas Baert's late challenge caught a Legia Warszawa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luckas Baert helped the player get up and apologised. Luckas Baert hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Leszek Podwojski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julian Trzenzalski made a huge save. Julian Trzenzalski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 24th minute. If Leszek Podwojski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. KKS Magines's Maciej Kiepski got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zenon Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Kiepski, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of KKS Magines booed when Legia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Taglieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Luckas Baert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylwester Cieliczka in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Pleban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leszek Podwojski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Witomir Blicharz hit a great ball. Julian Trzenzalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Axel Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
