After 5 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Rzegotka. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonín Orlík in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Gernberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darko Pančev took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixten Gernberg. Sixten Gernberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Sixten Gernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonín Orlík in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Sixten Gernberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Antonín Orlík notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Sixten Gernberg. Sixten Gernberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pogoń Szczecin were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Zawisza Bydgoszcz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ryszard Czerwiec took the corner.
