The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastião Xoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boguslaw Furgat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Bartlomiej Adamus came free, but Sebastião Xoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darko Pančev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Boguslaw Kaczanek made a huge save. Sebastião Xoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Furgat, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Adamus in the 15th minute of play. Darko Pančev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Boguslaw Kaczanek made a huge save. Sebastião Xoxe came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by KS Piast Cieszyn's Bartlomiej Adamus. But to his dismay, Bartlomiej Adamus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. KS Piast Cieszyn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Darko Pančev scored to the left of an out of position Boguslaw Kaczanek, making the score, 1-1. 37 minutes into the game, Darko Pančev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Boguslaw Kaczanek. Darko Pančev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Óli Turek hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Ryszard Czerwiec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryszard Czerwiec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boguslaw Kaczanek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darko Pančev to strike the kick off in the second half. KS Piast Cieszyn's Boguslaw Kaczanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darko Pančev in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darko Pančev in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boguslaw Kaczanek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the game, Pogoń Szczecin's Darko Pančev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boguslaw Kaczanek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 68 played minutes KS Piast Cieszyn got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Furgat. 70 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's Darko Pančev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boguslaw Kaczanek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Pogoń Szczecin were awarded a corner. Ryszard Czerwiec went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Pogoń Szczecin's corner Ryszard Czerwiec fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boguslaw Kaczanek quite easily take care of the ball. If Darko Pančev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavlos Vasakis kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ludomir Nieruchliwy hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
