The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Shadows United's Kurt Björkdahl got control of the ball when Roman Sierocki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Carlsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Kurt Björkdahl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kurt Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Demesio in the 32nd minute of play. Roman Sierocki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Kurt Björkdahl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bogdan Pilarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, Shadows United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olaf Wisniewski to maneuver through the defense. Bogdan Pilarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
