Idar Helgestad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Christian Finsrud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Mæhre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Sivert Kjørstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Wanka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sivert Kjørstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Mæhre scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cauã Zanette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 played minutes Deportivo Wanka got a freekick which was hit by Jose Bizen. Endre Undheim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cauã Zanette. Deportivo Wanka's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Sauane defense, Sivert Kjørstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Finsrud. The Sauane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Finsrud should have stopped the shot. In the 42ndth minute of the game Idar Helgestad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sauane's Christian Finsrud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Sauane defense, Sivert Kjørstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Finsrud. The Sauane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Finsrud should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Idar Helgestad to make the kick off. Idar Helgestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Finsrud having to interfere. A collision led to Sauane getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Trym Holden hit a great ball. Idar Helgestad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Finsrud having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Idar Helgestad in the 61st minute of play forced Sauane's goalkeeper Christian Finsrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Wanka booed when Sauane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Einan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Finsrud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sivert Kjørstad in the 64th minute of the match. Sivert Kjørstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sauane's goalkeeper Christian Finsrud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Trym Holden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Cauã Zanette made a huge save. Sauane's Christian Finsrud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Idar Helgestad in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Kjørstad in the 76th minute of play forced Sauane's goalkeeper Christian Finsrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Mæhre, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Deportivo Wanka getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Karsten Klette hit a great ball. Deportivo Wanka's Sivert Kjørstad got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trym Holden kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Deportivo Wanka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Idar Helgestad in the 91st minute. Aslak Nordbø was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 93rd minute, Sivert Kjørstad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Wanka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
