Vasstrand's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ove Gjelsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Nesheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trond Nesheim got free with Ove Gjelsten in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trond Nesheim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Ove Gjelsten skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Nicasio Tiso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ove Gjelsten was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The long shot by Brage Toft in the 18th minute really tested Ove Gjelsten's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 19 minutes, Geir-Inge Gåsland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Zlatan and the Vasstrand players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Trond Nesheim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ove Gjelsten was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Nicasio Tiso could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Ove Gjelsten however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Sandven during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicasio Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Gjelsten having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trond Nesheim got free with Ove Gjelsten in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trond Nesheim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Ove Gjelsten when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BK Zlatan's goalkeeper Ove Gjelsten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Nicasio Tiso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Gjelsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trond Nesheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Gjelsten having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Trond Nesheim made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. BK Zlatan's Ove Gjelsten tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vasstrand's Trond Nesheim got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kenneth Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BK Zlatan's Ove Gjelsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trond Nesheim in the 72nd minute of play. Nicasio Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Gjelsten having to interfere. BK Zlatan's Ove Gjelsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trond Nesheim in the 75th minute of play. Ove Gjelsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trond Nesheim in the 78th minute of play. Leonard Fyhn was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
