The referee showed Ken Sanne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ken Sanne scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Kvalvåg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jon-Inge Hopland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Henden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arild Honningsvåg during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ken Sanne struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ove Kvalvåg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Havstad FF. Jon-Inge Hopland was a little too slow when Arild Salberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 43rd minute, Arild Salberg made a precise shot to the right of Jon-Inge Hopland. Havstad FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Ken Sanne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leirpollen's Ove Kvalvåg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
