The supporters of Lamgnes booed when Taftøen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Rugland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arild Frydenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taftøen's Martin Warholm got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julius Rødsjø kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Julius Rødsjø hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes Lamgnes got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Mathisen. John-Einar Wisløff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arild Frydenberg in the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taftøen's zone, Edvin Åsland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Lindstad came out of the goal and Edvin Åsland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lamgnes's Edvin Åsland got a free kick in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Arild Frydenberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. John-Einar Wisløff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Julius Kristiansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicholas Lindstad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trond Fevang in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Warholm in the 31st minute of play forced Lamgnes's goalkeeper John-Einar Wisløff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lamgnes's Krister Hjelde got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvin Åsland got free with Nicholas Lindstad in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvin Åsland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Lindstad having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Martin Warholm made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Taftøen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alfred Riise hit a great ball. 2-1 became the score in the 58th minute when Edvin Åsland elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Martin Warholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Einar Wisløff having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvin Åsland in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Lindstad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John-Einar Wisløff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Lilleeng, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Trond Fevang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Taftøen got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Haagensen. Nicholas Lindstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Fevang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lamgnes's Trond Fevang in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taftøen's goalie prevented a goal. John-Einar Wisløff yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
