In the 25thth minute of the game Asgeir Klepp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Foldnes BF's Gaute Rognmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Sørebø BK were awarded a corner. Mikael Rabben went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mikael Rabben got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gaute Rognmo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Foldnes BF's Ole-Einar Haugum got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tore Hustveit struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Magne Herland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foldnes BF. Tore Hustveit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Magne Herland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Karl Dirdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Sørebø BK's goal looked a bit too open when Tore Hustveit came free, but Magne Herland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Herland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tore Hustveit, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tore Hustveit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Martin Helmersen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaute Rognmo was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Ole-Einar Haugum recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Magne Herland. Ole-Einar Haugum showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sørebø BK's zone, Tore Hustveit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Herland came out of the goal and Tore Hustveit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Foldnes BF defense, Asgeir Klepp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaute Rognmo. The Foldnes BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaute Rognmo should have stopped the shot. Tore Hustveit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sørebø BK's Magne Herland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sørebø BK from getting a goal against them. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
