Raymond Løvold who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Kenneth Grorud when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th of the match, Tor-Arne Taule tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Kenneth Grorud got in the way and made a wonderful save. 17 minutes into the match, Andreas Brandvold notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Øyjordi's Dennis Nordal. Dennis Nordal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kenneth Grorud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor-Arne Taule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Løvold couldn't finish the play. Øyjordi's Dennis Nordal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torvald Amdal in the 42nd minute of play. Dennis Nordal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torvald Amdal in the 46th minute of play. The Øyjordi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mineberget MZK were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raymond Løvold to strike the kick off in the second half. Mineberget MZK's Andreas Brandvold got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Torvald Amdal made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Nordal. Øyjordi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Raymond Løvold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Øyjordi's Dennis Nordal got control of the ball when Torvald Amdal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kenneth Grorud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Løvold in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Raymond Løvold had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Grorud. Mineberget MZK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raymond Løvold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The Mineberget MZK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mineberget MZK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
