In the 23rd minute Christian Thommesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simen Rosland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lars-Olav Øvergaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lars Woldseth kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jørund Aasheim's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Simen Rosland - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 30th minute. Freste FF's Svend Tangen suffered a concussion in the 40th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 41st match minute, Hjellset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf-Hendrik Skjevik to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Asmund Mehus in the 42nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the August Dahlberg's left hand side.

Freste FF were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Hjellset's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Simen Aagesen took the corner. Simen Rosland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Thommesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Lars-Olav Øvergaard made a precise shot to the right of August Dahlberg. Hjellset's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Emanuel Berisha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Simen Rosland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Thommesen in the 72nd minute of play forced Freste FF's goalkeeper Simen Rosland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Christian Thommesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Freste FF's Simen Rosland got control of the ball when Emanuel Berisha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Åsmund Seierstad hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Lars-Olav Øvergaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Dahlberg having to interfere. Jim Bjørkedal charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jim Bjørkedal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
