Asbjørn Hammerø recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. August Dahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Dybdahl in the 5th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Asbjørn Hammerø notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hjellset's August Dahlberg. August Dahlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Christian Thommesen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Stokland. Steinsbø BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Thommesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Emanuel Berisha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asbjørn Hammerø got free with August Dahlberg in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. August Dahlberg made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Asbjørn Hammerø sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Thomas Dybdahl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of August Dahlberg. The goal made the score 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Hjellset's Emanuel Berisha came free and shot a quick shot against goal 51 minutes in the game, fortunately Kristian Stokland had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Thomas Dybdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steinsbø BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Dybdahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Dahlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 played minutes Hjellset got a freekick which was hit by Jim Bjørkedal. 65 minutes into the game, Emanuel Berisha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kristian Stokland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Thommesen in the 70th minute of play forced Steinsbø BF's goalkeeper Kristian Stokland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Thomas Dybdahl made a precise shot to the right of August Dahlberg. Hjellset's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Asbjørn Hammerø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the game, Åsmund Seierstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hjellset's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steinsbø BF the free kick. After 86 played minutes Hjellset got a freekick which was hit by Åsmund Seierstad. Hjellset's August Dahlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Dybdahl in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Dybdahl in the 95th minute of play forced Hjellset's goalkeeper August Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Thomas Dybdahl notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Hjellset's August Dahlberg. August Dahlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hjellset players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Steinsbø BF.
