Spectators: 7592 (Terracing: 5695, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eilif Strømstad got the match started through his kick off. Eilif Strømstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stian Berg having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Terje Hesjedal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Verner Kjøde. Terje Hesjedal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Christer Molteberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Verner Kjøde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent-Are Blomvik kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Guttane's Stian Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eilif Strømstad in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Segalstad BF's goalkeeper Verner Kjøde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Dag Haavik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Segalstad BF and the Guttane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Segalstad BF's Dag Haavik got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Segalstad BF's goalkeeper Verner Kjøde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Segalstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Christian Austbø to maneuver through the defense. Per Skogen struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Verner Kjøde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guttane. Verner Kjøde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terje Hesjedal's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. If Ludvik Pedersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent-Are Blomvik's late challenge caught a Guttane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent-Are Blomvik helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Guttane booed when Segalstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent-Are Blomvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Terje Hesjedal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guttane's Nicholas Rakvåg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Verner Kjøde but with some difficulty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, Terje Hesjedal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Verner Kjøde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute Eilif Strømstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stian Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match Nicholas Rakvåg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Verner Kjøde showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Per Skogen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Verner Kjøde was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Verner Kjøde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terje Hesjedal in the 70th minute of play. Ludvik Pedersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Kjøde having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Terje Hesjedal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Segalstad BF's Verner Kjøde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per Skogen made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Terje Hesjedal. Verner Kjøde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terje Hesjedal in the 79th minute of play. Ludvik Pedersen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Verner Kjøde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Segalstad BF got a freekick which was hit by Kent-Are Blomvik. Segalstad BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sebastian Hestad hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Guttane were the better team. Guttane's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
