In the 11th minute, Max Einan made a precise shot to the right of Christer Hay. Haaland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Olsborg booed when Haaland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Bu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Einan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Hay having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Olsborg's Max Einan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Hay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Brede Haaland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Markus Kolås came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Olsborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Kolås couldn't finish the play. Christer Hay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Einan in the 34th minute of the match. Markus Kolås scored 3-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Hay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Markus Kolås could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Christer Hay however easily saved by the left post. Nils Narum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christer Hay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Einan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Aaland was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Vebjørn Grønlund got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Max Einan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olsborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Einan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Hay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Max Einan in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christer Hay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Markus Kolås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Markus Kolås managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olsborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Kolås was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Max Einan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Hay was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. When Markus Kolås came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Olsborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Kolås couldn't finish the play. Haaland's Christer Hay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Kolås in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jonathan Aaland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haaland's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Aaland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Espen Øen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Markus Kolås struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Christer Hay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olsborg. 94 minutes into the match, Olsborg's Markus Kolås sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Hay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olsborg fans cheered their team off the field, for while Haaland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
