With an all-out effort, Kiro FC's Asle Hestvik threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Truls Nordahl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Truls Nordahl scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asle Hestvik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Asle Hestvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Truls Nordahl in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Kjell Røhne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt-Rune Grönberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to Kiro FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alf-Inge Østlie hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Halvdan Back shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Rune Grönberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Odin Rykkje could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Asle Hestvik made a huge save. Asle Hestvik was a little too slow when Odin Rykkje got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-2. Odin Rykkje could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Asle Hestvik made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Kiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Langhelle came free, but Bengt-Rune Grönberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell Røhne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bengt-Rune Grönberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Runar Refsdal made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nedstrand's Lars-Erik Lindanger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Røhne in the 43rd minute of play forced Kiro FC's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Grönberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Kiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Røhne came free, but Bengt-Rune Grönberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Runar Refsdal made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joar Nyberg immediately put the ball in play. 59 minutes into the game, Halvdan Back was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nedstrand's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kiro FC the free kick. After 59 played minutes Nedstrand got a freekick which was hit by Halvdan Back. Nedstrand's Asle Hestvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odin Rykkje in the 61st minute of play. Asle Hestvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Truls Nordahl in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute Johannes Langhelle suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf-Inge Østlie during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nedstrand made a substitution. Joar Kiil replaced Johannes Langhelle. Bengt-Rune Grönberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joar Kiil in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes of play, Nedstrand's Kjell Røhne made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Rune Grönberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Asle Hestvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odin Rykkje, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Kjell Røhne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nedstrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Røhne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Rune Grönberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Nedstrand's goal looked a bit too open when Odin Rykkje came free, but Asle Hestvik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Odin Rykkje blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asle Hestvik having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Kristoffer Gaup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asle Hestvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Kiro FC's Truls Nordahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asle Hestvik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3.
