Tømmeråsfjorden's Sivert Kapstad got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Verner Vestby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tømmeråsfjorden's Runar Myrhaug proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Tømmeråsfjorden from getting a goal against them. Runar Myrhaug came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Karnes IL's Erland Aurstad. But to his dismay, Erland Aurstad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Eirik Fossan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Lindstrøm in the 22nd minute of play forced Tømmeråsfjorden's goalkeeper Runar Myrhaug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jørn Abrahamsen scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Runar Myrhaug, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Runar Myrhaug made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erland Aurstad in the 31st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Runar Myrhaug successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karnes IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Konradsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tømmeråsfjorden's Runar Myrhaug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jørn Abrahamsen in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Tømmeråsfjorden getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Verner Vestby hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Gjermund Buvarp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Erland Aurstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Verner Vestby to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Erland Aurstad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Runar Myrhaug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Lindstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Karnes IL's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
